About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for an access-control driving post at a manufacturing and industrial location in Columbus, Mississippi. The officer will help safeguard the site by managing entry points, verifying credentials, supporting badge-related processes, monitoring site activity, and providing professional customer service to employees and visitors. The role may also include routine patrols and responding to security incidents. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. The posted schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Applicants must meet the applicable age requirement, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and undergo a background investigation and drug screening as conditions of employment. Licensing may be required under state or local regulations.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required prior to employment under applicable state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor or contractor passes, and maintain accurate access-control records.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of production-adjacent areas, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor vehicle, pedestrian, and delivery traffic at designated access points and follow procedures for inspections, documentation, and escalation.
