About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Augusta, Georgia, for an access-control role at a manufacturing and industrial location. The officer will safeguard employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and the site by managing access, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, responding to security concerns, and maintaining a visible, customer-focused presence. The position is scheduled Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $14.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations.

• Access-control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry to authorized areas.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Document incidents, access-control activity, and unusual conditions in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
