About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Birmingham, Alabama, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service. You will use communication and computer skills to document activity and assist visitors and employees. The role involves working a daytime weekend schedule on Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Support access control and assist visitors and employees.
• Use communication and computer skills to document activity.
