About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting in Mountain View, California, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and facilities. You will patrol assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, monitor access and visitor activity, and support a welcoming environment. The position pays $25.50 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Allied Universal provides access to its shift-claiming platform and offers paid training and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report access concerns or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations; document observations and actions taken.
Communicate clearly with site personnel, dispatch, and emergency responders while following established reporting and escalation procedures.
