Security Officer - Overnight Patrol

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Minooka, Illinois. The officer will safeguard clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing customer service. The role follows site-specific policies and procedures and requires clear communication, professional conduct, and accurate shift documentation. The schedule is Sunday and Monday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment if required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate contacts and document observations.
Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
