About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Patrol in Minooka, Illinois. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed.

The scheduled shift is Wednesday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The position is responsible for providing customer service, carrying out site security procedures, responding to incidents, patrolling a distribution location, monitoring access, and reporting suspicious activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local law; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position requires driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, documenting and reporting observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including its interior, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and verify authorization according to site-specific requirements.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and report suspicious conditions or activity to appropriate personnel.
