Security Officer Unarmed Second Shift Position
About The Position
As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location in Kansas City, Missouri, you will help safeguard the campus and support a welcoming environment. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, respond to concerns, and report observations. This is a full-time position paying $19.00 per hour, scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established school procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management according to site-specific policies and school schedules.
- Accurately document observations, incidents, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
