About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Bluffton, Indiana, you will serve and safeguard clients at a retail location. This is an unarmed patrol role focused on conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, assisting with access control and badge procedures, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service, clear communication, integrity, and teamwork. The position is full-time and pays $16.80 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to store associates, shoppers, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned areas of the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, and potential loss-prevention issues, helping deter theft and other policy violations through a professional presence.
Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site personnel or emergency responders when needed.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities according to site-specific procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
Assist with access control and badge procedures.
