About The Position

The Armed Security Officer protects Signet Jewelers’ people, property, and assets and helps maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors. The role is based at the corporate office and distribution center and involves enforcing security procedures, controlling access, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and supporting investigations and asset recovery. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Prior private security experience.
Valid 20-Hour Private Security Firearms Certificate (O.P.O.T.C.), or ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Professionalism, integrity, and commitment to protecting others.

Nice To Haves

Criminal Justice degree.
Military or law enforcement background.

Responsibilities

Enforce security procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations at the facility and distribution center.
Protect company assets through access control, screening distribution areas, and inspecting outgoing materials, including mail and trash recovery.
Conduct patrols, monitor activities, respond promptly to incidents, and maintain detailed and accurate reports.
Support investigations and asset recovery efforts in collaboration with the Security Leadership Team.
Complete ongoing training in firearms, hazardous materials, public safety, and security operations.
Maintain a professional and approachable presence while building trust and rapport with employees and visitors.
Perform other assignments and projects as directed by leadership.
