Entry Level Security Officer

About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises and patrolling assigned locations. The role observes and reports activities and incidents, helps protect client property and personnel, preserves order, and enforces site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the area. Officers may also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided for an introduction to a career in the security industry. The schedule includes second-shift and weekend hours. The listed wage is $16.40 per hour.

Requirements

Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and driver certification.
Must have strong customer service skills.
Must be able to complete patrols.
Must have strong technology skills, including use of a cell phone and computer.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for security officers/guards.
Must be able to perform frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods; duties may involve climbing stairs and walking on inclines and uneven terrain.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior security or customer service experience is a plus.
Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is a good fit.
