About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Screener in West Palm Beach, Florida, serving a government location. The role uses screening equipment and access-control procedures to help identify prohibited items and maintain a secure environment. The officer interacts professionally with employees and visitors, documents security-related activities, and maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and the pay rate is $19.85 per hour.

Requirements

Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
X-ray screening experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and report findings to appropriate personnel.
Control access to government facilities by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and maintaining accurate entry records as required.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following post orders and applicable procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
