Security Officer Full Time Site Screener
About The Position
As a Security Officer Full Time Site Screener in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in logistics and distribution. At a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and personnel, verify badges, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate professionally with customers, and support a secure, welcoming environment. The position is full-time and pays $16.33 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, and/or authorized items entering or leaving the distribution location according to established procedures.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, delivery, and incident information as required.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
