About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Screener in Chester, Virginia, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer helps safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries by screening people and belongings, monitoring access points, and maintaining a visible presence. The role includes customer service, professional communication, and support for a welcoming environment. The position is scheduled Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
A Guard Card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries according to site access requirements; verify credentials and direct people to appropriate entry points or contacts.
Monitor access points, screening equipment, and visitor activity, and report suspicious activity, access concerns, or policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicating promptly with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding business perimeter.
