About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Screener in Leesburg, Virginia, at a technology data center. The role supports a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, verifying access credentials, monitoring entry points, and reporting security-related concerns. The position requires professionalism, communication skills, and attention to detail while providing a welcoming experience and supporting critical operations. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $26.06 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess a college degree.
Type at least 40 words per minute.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as permitted by applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen individuals, visitors, and authorized property entering the location using established equipment and procedures; verify credentials, access permissions, and required documentation.
Monitor entry points, maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records, and direct authorized individuals to designated areas.
Respond calmly and professionally to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations; communicate observations and concerns to site leadership or emergency responders as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
