About The Position

A Security Officer protects AHF’s assets and helps ensure the safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests, and visitors at AHF sites, including Healthy Housing properties. The officer applies security training and implements strategies, policies, and procedures to protect personnel and assets, including donation inventory, at Healthy Housing tenant facilities. The role requires a friendly, professional, and disciplined approach to duty, as well as the ability to recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond safely and effectively. The officer works closely with Healthy Housing operational staff to maintain a safe and secure environment, adapts to changing situations, and submits detailed reports about on-duty events through AHF’s Safety and Security Incident Reporting System. AHF emphasizes its mission and core values, nimbleness, and collaboration across a structure in which staff may be accountable to multiple leaders.

Requirements

Active Security Guard Card is required.
Security training.

Responsibilities

Protect company assets and help ensure the safety of staff, tenants, contractors, guests, and visitors at AHF sites, including Healthy Housing properties.
Implement strategies, policies, and procedures designed to protect personnel and assets, including donation inventory, at Healthy Housing tenant facilities.
Recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond in the safest and most effective manner.
Work with Healthy Housing operational staff to establish and maintain a safe and secure environment.
Submit detailed reports about events and situations that occur while on duty using the Safety and Security Incident Reporting System.
Adapt to various situations and contribute to a positive, professional workplace and client experience.
