About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a financial institution in Port Isabel, Texas. The officer monitors assigned areas, conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provides customer service and clear communication. The role involves working collaboratively with integrity, reliability, and agility while following site-specific procedures. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The pay rate is $13.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity or security concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
Report hazards, policy violations, suspicious behavior, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
