About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a driving patrol and escort post at an aerospace and defense-related location in Orlando, Florida. The officer will safeguard the site by providing customer service, monitoring access, and conducting regular and random unarmed patrols. The role requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The stated pay rate is $20.50 per hour. The schedule is Wednesday and Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license required for driving positions, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and applicable emergency-response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, access-control activity, incidents, and other security-related matters.
