About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a cultural institution in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will provide a visible security presence while helping maintain a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors. The position involves patrolling assigned areas, assisting with visitor access and directions, responding to incidents, and communicating and documenting relevant information. The role is scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 9:30 AM to 5:15 PM, at $16.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements if required by applicable state or local laws and regulations.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, public spaces, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor flow, provide directions and general information, and help maintain an orderly, welcoming environment.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
