About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Support for an assigned site in North East, Maryland. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment. In addition to that fixed shift, the officer may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

The scheduled shift is Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The officer provides customer service while following security procedures and site-specific policies, responds calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conducts regular and random patrols of the business and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray Screening experience is preferred.
• Customer Service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
