Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a logistics location in Hainesport, New Jersey, you will help safeguard clients and contribute to a welcoming environment through customer service, teamwork, and integrity. The role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers. Allied Universal offers a shift-claiming platform that may provide opportunities to pick up additional shifts. The scheduled hours listed are Friday and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations before employment, if applicable.
- Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the logistics facility, warehouse areas, parking areas, loading docks, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor site access by verifying credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and documenting visitor and delivery activity according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and complete required reports.
- Observe and report unusual conditions, hazards, or security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate daily activity and incident documentation.
