About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an unarmed patrol role at a healthcare location in Ventura, California. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, supporting access control, and responding professionally to security-related needs and emergencies. The position is scheduled Thursdays and Fridays from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and pays $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Willingness to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
Ability to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
Ability to restrain individuals when necessary.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in accordance with site procedures.
Monitor entrances, verify authorized access, and provide directions or escorts as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and response activities to appropriate hospital personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
