About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in San Diego, California, you will safeguard clients at a utilities location. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card/license is preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and the public by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when required.
Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to established post orders.
