About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Indianapolis, Indiana, you will help safeguard clients at a retail and mall location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff, provide customer service, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns. The role also involves work around retail and distribution operations, including sales and receiving areas, deliveries, customer traffic, and special events.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, sales areas, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
Monitor access points and verify visitor and vendor entry as directed.
Report suspicious activity, damaged property, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site-specific procedures and documenting observations and actions taken.
Help maintain an orderly environment during deliveries, customer traffic, and special events while providing professional service and clear communication.
