About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Greenwood, Indiana. The officer will safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. The role includes patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access and traffic, providing customer service, responding to routine security needs, and documenting activity. The position pays $17.22 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; a license may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and vehicle or pedestrian traffic under site procedures; document visitor activity and report irregular conditions.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
