About The Position

United Security, Inc. is seeking a vigilant, professional, and customer-focused Security Officer to help protect hotel guests, staff, and property. The role involves maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, supporting guests and employees, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company policies. The position is Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Computer literacy.
• At least 2 years of experience working with integrated security systems.
• Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office.
• Problem-solving ability and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and listening skills, with the ability to multitask projects.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Physical fitness to stand and walk for long periods and respond rapidly when needed.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Proven security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regularly patrol the lobby, guest floors, public areas, and back-of-house areas to maintain a visible presence and deter security threats.
• Monitor CCTV, fire alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, theft, medical emergencies, and fires.
• Help control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel enter.
• Enforce rules and policies professionally and respectfully.
• Write clear, detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
• Assist guests and employees with safety-related issues or concerns.
• Coordinate with local fire, police, and ambulance services when needed.
• Investigate property damage, theft, and other suspicious activity.
• Support crowd control during events or high-occupancy periods.
• Ensure compliance with safety and health procedures, company policies, and legal requirements.
