Security Officer Part Time Access Control

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for access screening at a manufacturing and industrial location in Lewisport, Kentucky. The officer will help safeguard the site by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and maintaining a visible security presence. The role includes regular patrols, professional communication with employees and guests, and support for a welcoming environment. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to authorization procedures.
Maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records, and issue and collect credentials as directed by site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, manufacturing areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
