Security Officer Part Time Access Control

About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer specializing in access control at a logistics and distribution location in Tulsa, Oklahoma, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will communicate professionally with drivers, visitors, and team members while supporting a secure and welcoming environment. The role involves working Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Possess a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control access to designated areas according to site procedures.
Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates and entry points, communicate directions and delivery protocols, and report unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter.
