Security Officer Part Time Access Control

About The Position

As a part-time Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Fontana, California, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide customer service and clear communication while helping deter security-related incidents. The scheduled shifts are Thursday and Saturday, 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements required by state or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site requirements.
Screen and direct commercial vehicle traffic, delivery personnel, and vendors entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalate concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
