About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Lenexa, Kansas, at a logistics and distribution location. The officer helps maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with professional customer service. The role uses computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate concerns, and help deter security-related incidents. The posted schedule lists Sunday and Monday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Pay is $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as directed, and control entry and exit for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery vehicles.
Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
Maintain accurate logs and reports on visitor access, vehicle activity, incidents, and other security-related observations.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
