About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Olathe, Kansas, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. Through clear communication, routine patrols, and a visible presence, you will help deter security-related incidents while providing customer service. The role involves working Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM and pays $18.75 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures and site-specific policies and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and control access to the distribution location.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter.
Report irregularities, damaged access-control equipment, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
