About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Redlands, California, you will help safeguard clients and provide a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and follow site-specific security procedures. The role includes responding professionally to incidents and access concerns, documenting observations, and communicating relevant information to leadership and site contacts. The posted schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM. Pay is $19.24 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Document and report security-related observations.
Complete required reports and maintain accurate activity logs.
Communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
