About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Kansas City, Missouri, at a logistics and distribution location. The officer will support site security and customer service by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, maintaining access records, and conducting routine patrols. The role also involves responding calmly to incidents, communicating with drivers, dispatch personnel, visitors, employees, and site leadership, and following site-specific procedures. The position pays $18.47 per hour and is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as permitted by applicable law.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points for commercial vehicles, personnel, and visitors.
Verify credentials, process visitor information, and maintain required access records.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Communicate professionally with dispatch personnel, drivers, and site leadership regarding access issues, delivery traffic, and security-related concerns.
