About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Modesto, California. The officer will safeguard clients, employees, visitors, and deliveries by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access and activity, and helping maintain an orderly and welcoming environment. The role calls for clear communication, customer service, teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and sound judgment when responding to security concerns. The pay rate is $19.40 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM. Shift changes and additional shifts may be available through the company's Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a freight transportation and distribution location.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, offices, docks, trailers, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor, driver, and vendor activity according to site-specific procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Support the orderly flow of personnel and vehicles during shipping and receiving operations while following established post orders.
