About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Stockton, California. The officer will help safeguard the site by managing entry points, verifying credentials and appointments, monitoring access activity, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers. Routine patrols and a visible presence help deter incidents and support a welcoming, orderly environment. The role includes responding to incidents and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate, in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees at the distribution facility while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related appointments, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and help control access to restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, and communicate observations to site leadership or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Help maintain an orderly flow of inbound and outbound vehicle traffic while following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
