About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Olathe, Kansas, at a logistics and distribution location. The officer will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Through a visible presence, clear communication, and routine security duties, the officer will help deter incidents while providing customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain access logs, and help prevent unauthorized facility access.
Screen incoming contractors, vendors, and drivers according to site requirements, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate check-in areas or loading locations.
Respond calmly and effectively to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business operations, and the perimeter, reporting suspicious activity, damaged barriers, and other security concerns.
