About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Durham, North Carolina, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and property. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, integrity, and teamwork. The posted schedule is Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.46 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, access points, and surrounding property, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and help maintain orderly movement throughout the healthcare location.
Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation; communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
