About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a residential location in Culpeper, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting residents and visitors with customer service and clear communication. The role includes alarm response, documenting activity using computer or tablet tools, and working with integrity and teamwork. The stated schedule is Thursday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM and Friday from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.15 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific policies, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports about incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related activities.
• Respond to alarms and document activity using computer or tablet tools.
