About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Summerville, South Carolina, you will help safeguard clients, visitors, drivers, and employees. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control and badge processes, use computer or tablet systems, and provide customer service. The role is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, at $19.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor facility access by checking credentials, directing authorized visitors and delivery personnel, and documenting arrivals, departures, and relevant incidents.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation about patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
