Security Officer Part Time Unarmed
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed security officer for patrol duties at a healthcare location in Durham, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients by conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points and visitor activity, and supporting a welcoming and orderly environment. The role includes providing customer service, responding to incidents and emergencies according to established protocols, and using a computer or tablet to document observations and activities. The stated schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.46 per hour. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening; licensing may be required under state or local regulations.
Requirements

- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies.
- Complete accurate reports, logs, and required documentation for incidents, observations, and daily activities.
