About The Position

As a part-time, unarmed Security Officer in Hardeeville, South Carolina, you will support a logistics and distribution location by managing entry points, verifying credentials, assisting visitors and employees, and maintaining an orderly environment through professional communication and customer service. The role uses computer or tablet systems and involves representing Allied Universal’s culture of integrity, teamwork, reliability, innovation, and care. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The position pays $18.50 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures and policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access by verifying identification, visitor credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for entry and exit.
Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, and vehicle logs, and issue and collect access credentials according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report security concerns.
