About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer in Burbank, California, serving a media and technology-focused location. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, guests, and vendors by maintaining a visible security presence, conducting patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and documenting security-related activities. The role involves customer service, communication, and use of technology as needed. The stated schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements vary by applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, guests, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, production areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter; document observations and report unusual activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry according to site procedures, and help deter unauthorized access.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in accordance with company and site requirements.
