About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a primarily driving patrol post at a retail and mall location in Seattle, Washington. The officer will help safeguard the site, provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role includes routine foot and vehicle patrols, responding to incidents and concerns, monitoring access points, and documenting and communicating relevant activity. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points, assist with directions and lost-property inquiries, and maintain a visible professional presence to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
