About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to support a government education location in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard students, staff, visitors, and the school community through patrols, access monitoring, incident response, accurate documentation, and customer service. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and pays $18.87 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and school grounds, and report unusual activity or concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow school procedures, and notify designated contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
