About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution in Atlanta, Georgia, you will help safeguard visitors, staff, artists, vendors, and guests. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, support a welcoming visitor experience, respond to alarms and access-control needs, and communicate professionally while contributing to a reliable team. The schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 5:15 PM to 1:15 AM. Pay is $19.13 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations; communicate observations to site contacts or emergency personnel as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of galleries, performance spaces, public areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials or permissions as directed, and help maintain orderly movement during exhibitions, performances, and special events.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications according to company and site-specific procedures.
