About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site at a financial institution in Houston, Texas. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and can scale back when needed. The stated pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The listed shift is Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, customers, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of banking areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report security concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site requirements.
