About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Awareness in Richmond, Virginia, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors. You will communicate professionally while helping create a welcoming environment and follow site-specific policies and security procedures. This is a full-time position paying $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-related concerns, alarms, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, campus, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and verify visitor and contractor entry according to site-specific requirements.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.
