Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer for a retail location in Tampa, Florida. The officer will conduct foot patrols, maintain a visible security presence, monitor assigned areas, and provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff. The role includes carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities, responding professionally to incidents, and documenting patrols and security operations. The posted schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.60 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws, as a condition of employment.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law, as a condition of employment.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
- Monitor access points and activity throughout the location, and report security concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations to site leadership.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports and maintain required activity logs related to patrols, incidents, and daily security operations.
