About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a retail and mall location in Tampa, Florida. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and tenants, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. The role calls for a customer-focused approach and alignment with Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture. The posted pay rate is $15.60 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations throughout the retail property; contact appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, storefronts, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate with site management, tenants, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and daily activities.
