About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Documentation Security Officer for a retail location in Central Valley, New York. The officer will help safeguard clients and visitors by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and providing professional customer service. The role includes patrols of retail sales areas, common areas, receiving locations, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, along with responding to incidents and documenting activities. The schedule is Monday and Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.00–$20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any state or local licensing requirements that may apply before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail sales areas, common areas, receiving locations, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
Maintain a visible presence and observe activity to help deter unauthorized activity, theft-related concerns, and policy violations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activities and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
