Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Documentation
About The Position
As a full-time, unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location in Lancaster, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients while supporting a welcoming environment for customers and team members. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service. The position pays $17.50 per hour and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, using a problem-solving approach.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and store activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
